Dr. Gil Alterovitz is the inaugural Director of Artificial Intelligence at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Based in the Office of Research and Development, Dr. Gil Alterovitz is working on leveraging health data for AI as well as building AI research and development capacity. He was one of the core authors of White House Office of Science Technology and Policy’s The National AI R&D Strategic Plan (2019 version). He is also a professor at Harvard Medical School and core faculty at the Computational Health Informatics Program, Boston Children’s Hospital.

Jeffrey Hausfeld, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.S., has served on the national board and committees of specialty medical societies since he began his practice in Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery in 1982. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at George Washington University School of Health Sciences and an alumnus of the Yale University School of Medicine.
